Mr. Nickerson has taught at the elementary, secondary and university levels. He served 14 years at the Office of the Superintendent in the Division of Curriculum and Instruction. He has coached in school and community programs for over 30 years. He earned his Doctorate and Master’s degrees in Education from the University of Oregon and his Bachelor’s degree in Education from Central Washington University. Mr. Nickerson retired from the Comprehensive Health Education Foundation after serving 14 years as President. Services started on the board in 2013, term expires in November 2021.
Mr. Nickerson is married and has five children, fourteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
