Are you ready to join the conversation?

Longview School District uses an online, 3-step process called Thoughtexchange to collect information and better understand the needs of our students, families and community.

Thoughtexchange is a web-based, mobile-device-friendly process that allows everyone in the community to share viewpoints about the issues and the decisions made in our district.  The process allows us to hear ideas and priorities and it gives participants a chance to find out what others are saying—while keeping who made the comments private.

There are three parts to the process, which generally lasts between one and two weeks:

  1. Share – answer open-ended questions about education in our schools.   Your participation is at your pace, and may take 5 to 10 minutes of your time.
  2. Star – review ideas from other stakeholders and star the ideas according to your reaction to them.
  3. Discover – learn what is important to other respondents–and ultimately to the community.

Be watching for our next Thoughtexchange process. We encourage you to provide your viewpoints. Your input will make a difference as we move forward with our efforts and as we prepare for the future.
