Dear Parents and Families,
We are continuing to monitor the air quality in our community each day. The air quality is improved and is no longer in the “hazardous” range per the Washington State Department of Ecology Air Monitoring network. However, we continue to be in the low end of the “very unhealthy” range.
Remote learning will continue as scheduled, but school facilities will be closed on Thursday, September 17 due to ongoing air quality issues.
The district’s meal service will continue to provide grab and go meals for any child age birth to 18. Free meals are served at six schools and four community locations. Kids do not need to be present to pick up meals. For more information about meals visit longviewschools.com.
We will continue to monitor local air conditions and will send additional updates as needed. We appreciate your support of our schools. If you have questions please call your school.
