Who would you like to thank for being a star polisher?

“Mr. Hooper,” writes R.A. Long 9th grader Brenna Fraser and 11th grader Kylee Newman.

How did this person make a difference in your life?

Brenna says, “I was dealing with a lot of stressful events outside of school. He was somebody I was able to communication well with, and he even put me in touch with different services to help me in any way possible.  Bluntly, he changed my life for the better. And I will always be thankful.”

“Mr. Hooper keeps pushing me into passing and getting stuff done for Jack Time,” adds Kylee.

As part of our district’s focus on student connectedness, we shared part of a poem called “The Star Polisher” with our high school students and invited them to consider how Longview Public Schools staff have made a difference to them. Read about more of our stars and star polishers here.
