“Mrs. Bergquist,” writes Phoebe Robeson, 12th grader at R.A. Long.
How did this person make a difference in your life?
Phoebe says, “She is kind, funny, and is NOT boring when she teaches. It is a joy to be in her class and also in the FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) Club she is helping run. I was nervous starting high school for the first time but Mrs. Bergquist made me feel welcome and help me get caught up in her class real quick.”
As part of our district’s focus on student connectedness, we shared part of a poem called “The Star Polisher” with our high school students and invited them to consider how Longview Public Schools staff have made a difference to them. Read about more of our stars and star polishers here.
