Sandy Catt, Director of Communications and Technology, received a Kelso-Longview Chamber of Commerce Lifetime Achievement Award at the annual awards event May 2.

The Pillars of Strength-Crystal Apple Awards ceremony, held at Lower Columbia College’s Rose Center for the Arts, recognized community leaders in business and education.

Sandy was honored for her 33-year career serving the staff and students of the district with integrity and a sunny disposition. She has assumed critical roles during district emergency responses and served as a primary contact for staff members, the media, community members and community partners. Her dedication, drive, and desire to make the district the best it can be has made a significant impact on staff, families, and the community

Under her leadership, and thanks to community financial support for technology teaching tools, she has coordinated an infrastructure and 21st Century technology to the district’s schools and support offices.
